Responsibility
- Lead the pastry department, overseeing all aspects of dessert production, including menu development, plating, and presentation.
- Create innovative, high-quality desserts that align with our luxury brand standards and guest expectations.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control to ensure profitability without compromising quality.
- Train, mentor, and supervise pastry team members to maintain consistency and excellence in execution.
- Collaborate with the executive chef and F&B team to design seasonal menus and special event offerings.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers to source the finest ingredients.
- Stay updated on global pastry trends and techniques to keep our offerings fresh and exciting.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (e.g., Head Pastry Chef, Executive Pastry Chef).
- Proven experience in luxury hospitality (5-star hotels, resorts, or fine-dining establishments).
- Diploma or degree in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or related field from a reputable institution.
- Exceptional creativity and attention to detail in dessert design and execution.
- Strong knowledge of French, Italian, and Asian pastry techniques.
- Experience with cost control, budgeting, and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and inspire a team.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, French) are a plus.
