Responsibility
- Lead and oversee the daily production of bakery and pastry items, ensuring adherence to recipes, quality standards, and food safety regulations.
- Develop and innovate new recipes, products, and techniques to meet evolving customer demands and market trends.
- Manage inventory, procurement, and cost control for ingredients and supplies to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
- Train, mentor, and supervise a team of pastry chefs and production staff to maintain high performance and consistency.
- Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and sales teams to align product development with business goals and customer preferences.
- Ensure compliance with local and international food safety and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO).
- Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Prepare production reports, forecasts, and budgets to support operational planning and decision-making.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or Bakery Chef, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Proven expertise in large-scale bakery and pastry production, including recipe development and scaling.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP) and quality control processes.
- Experience with modern bakery equipment and technology (e.g., mixers, ovens, proofers, packaging machinery).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Creative mindset with a passion for innovation in pastry and bakery products.
