Responsibility
- Oversee the accurate and timely management of patient health records in compliance with local and international standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
- Develop and implement policies for electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure data security, accessibility, and interoperability.
- Coordinate with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to optimize health information workflows and reduce inefficiencies.
- Conduct regular audits of medical records to verify completeness, accuracy, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Train and mentor staff on health information management (HIM) best practices, including coding (ICD-10, CPT) and documentation standards.
- Prepare and analyze health data reports to support clinical decision-making and organizational strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards for patient confidentiality and data protection.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including insurance providers and government agencies, for reporting and compliance purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Medical Records, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. RHIA or RHIT certification is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in health information management, medical coding, or a similar role in a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT coding, and healthcare compliance regulations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with integrity and discretion.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); proficiency in Indonesian is advantageous.
