Responsibility
- Assist in the setup, operation, and monitoring of hemodialysis machines and equipment.
- Provide direct patient care, including vital sign measurements, weight monitoring, and patient positioning.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by nursing or medical staff.
- Monitor patients during dialysis for adverse reactions and report concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment logs and progress notes.
- Ensure a clean, sanitized, and safe treatment environment in compliance with healthcare standards.
- Educate patients and families on dialysis procedures, self-care, and dietary guidelines.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Patient Care Technician (PCT), Nursing Assistant (CNA), or equivalent healthcare training.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in hemodialysis, patient care, or a related clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of dialysis procedures, infection control, and patient safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with patients and families.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification is required.
- Physical stamina to assist with patient transfers and stand for extended periods.
