Responsibility
- Lead and mentor a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure seamless operations and exceptional food quality.
- Develop and refine Mughlai-inspired menus, balancing authenticity with innovation to meet guest expectations.
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and plating to maintain the highest culinary standards.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including sourcing high-quality ingredients and controlling costs without compromising quality.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to enhance guest satisfaction and address feedback.
- Train and develop kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on culinary trends and Mughlai cuisine advancements to keep menus fresh and exciting.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8+ years of experience as a Chef, with at least 3 years in an Executive Chef or Head Chef role, specializing in Mughlai or North Indian cuisine.
- Proven expertise in Mughlai culinary techniques, including spice blending, slow cooking, and traditional preparation methods.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse kitchen team.
- Experience working in high-volume, luxury, or fine-dining establishments.
- Familiarity with kitchen management software and inventory systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Certification in food safety and hygiene (e.g., HACCP, ServSafe) is highly desirable.
- Passion for culinary innovation and a deep respect for Mughlai culinary traditions.
