Responsibility
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.
- Develop and refine Chinese and Western menus, incorporating seasonal and local ingredients.
- Lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control costs while maintaining quality and minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and non-Halal certification standards.
- Collaborate with the F&B team to create special menus for events, promotions, and VIP guests.
- Monitor portion sizes, plating, and garnishing to uphold consistency and visual appeal.
- Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to continuously elevate the dining experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chef, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (Executive Chef, Head Chef, or Sous Chef).
- Proven expertise in Chinese and Western cuisine, with a portfolio of creative, high-quality dishes.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and non-Halal kitchen protocols.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Indonesian) are a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Certification in culinary arts or hospitality management from a recognized institution.
