Responsibility

  • Develop and refine seasonal menus that align with the resort’s luxury branding and guest expectations.
  • Lead, mentor, and train a diverse kitchen team to maintain consistency in food quality and service.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, cost control, and supplier negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in accordance with local and international regulations.
  • Collaborate with the F&B and events teams to plan and execute special dining events, weddings, and private functions.
  • Source high-quality, local ingredients and build relationships with farmers, fishermen, and artisanal producers.
  • Monitor industry trends and incorporate innovative culinary techniques to keep menus fresh and exciting.
  • Conduct regular taste tests and quality checks to maintain the resort’s reputation for excellence.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a high-end restaurant, resort, or hotel.
  • Culinary degree from a recognized institution or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on staff development and motivation.
  • Deep knowledge of international cuisines, with a passion for Indonesian and Southeast Asian flavors.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, control food costs, and optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with fluency in English (additional languages a plus).
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail in food presentation and plating.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required in a hospitality setting.
