Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable application solutions to support Macquarieâs financial services and operational needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., business analysts, product managers) to translate requirements into technical specifications.
- Optimize application performance, ensuring high availability, reliability, and security across all systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing root-cause analysis and long-term solutions.
- Lead or contribute to the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from concept to deployment and post-release support.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovations to enhance efficiency and user experience.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to foster team growth and knowledge sharing.
- Document technical processes, architectures, and best practices to ensure maintainability and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in application development, with a focus on enterprise-level systems (e.g., banking, fintech, or financial services).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript, and frameworks like Spring, .NET, or React.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of database systems (SQL/NoSQL) and API design (REST, GraphQL).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
