Responsibility
- Perform diagnostic tests, maintenance, and repairs on electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid systems using specialized tools and software.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to high-voltage battery systems, electric motors, and charging infrastructure.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle longevity and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to test and validate new EV technologies and software updates.
- Document all service and repair work accurately in compliance with manufacturer and safety standards.
- Stay updated on the latest EV industry trends, certifications, and technical advancements.
- Provide technical training and support to junior technicians and service staff.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols for handling high-voltage systems and hazardous materials.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Automotive Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (EV-specific training is a plus).
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as an automotive technician, with EV or hybrid vehicle expertise preferred.
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems, battery diagnostics, and EV charging infrastructure.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools (e.g., OBD-II scanners, EV-specific software) and multimeter equipment.
- Familiarity with automotive wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, with a commitment to safety and quality.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to obtain EV-specific certifications (e.g., ASE L3, manufacturer training).
