Responsibility
- Develop and prepare detailed cost estimates for projects across various disciplines, including manufacturing, transportation, and logistics.
- Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to determine time, cost, and labor estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure accuracy in estimates.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate potential cost overruns.
- Maintain and update cost databases and estimation tools to ensure they reflect current market conditions and project requirements.
- Prepare and present cost reports and proposals to internal teams and clients.
- Monitor project progress and compare actual costs with estimated costs to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in cost estimation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Estimator or in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing, transportation, or logistics.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
