Responsibility
- Analyze working drawings, technical specifications, and tender documents to develop accurate cost calculations.
- Compare and evaluate price proposals from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to refine project estimates and budgets.
- Prepare detailed cost reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends and material costs to provide up-to-date pricing information.
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and contract negotiations.
- Maintain accurate records of cost data and project documentation.
- Provide support in risk assessment and mitigation strategies for project estimations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost estimation, quantity surveying, or a similar role in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, or similar tools).
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools.
