Responsibility
- Analyze architectural and engineering blueprints to extract critical data for cost estimation.
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment required for construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to validate estimates and ensure alignment with client requirements.
- Develop and maintain a database of cost metrics, vendor pricing, and industry benchmarks.
- Generate comprehensive bid proposals and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project timelines.
- Review and update estimates based on design changes, market fluctuations, or scope adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and best practices in estimating.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in construction estimating, cost analysis, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, takeoff software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam), and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prior experience in the Southeast Asian construction market is a plus.
