Responsibility
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity takeoffs for construction projects.
- Develop and submit competitive bid proposals using estimating software.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary data.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction materials, labor costs, and market trends.
- Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
- Provide cost-saving recommendations without compromising quality.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Estimating Engineer or similar role in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as PlanSwift and Bluebeam.
