Responsibility
- Monitor and validate equity trade transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Perform daily reconciliation of trade data between front-office systems, custodians, and counterparties.
- Investigate and resolve trade discrepancies, breaks, or failures in a timely manner, escalating issues as needed.
- Prepare and distribute trade confirmation reports, P&L statements, and other financial documentation for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with trading desks, settlement teams, and risk management to address operational risks and process improvements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of equity markets, trade lifecycle, and relevant financial regulations (e.g., MiFID, Dodd-Frank).
- Assist in the development and enhancement of trade control frameworks, automation tools, and workflow efficiencies.
- Support audit requests and regulatory examinations by providing accurate trade records and explanations.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in trade control, middle office, or operations within equity markets, investment banking, or asset management.
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, settlement processes, and reconciliation for equities, derivatives, or fixed income.
- Proficiency in trade processing systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, Murex, or proprietary platforms) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VBA).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., SEC, FINRA, EMIR) and risk management principles.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with global teams, traders, and external parties.
- Ability to adapt to a contract-based role with potential for extension or conversion based on performance.
