Responsibility
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laser systems, optical equipment, and related machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and software components, using diagnostic tools and schematics.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to install, commission, and test new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance data for reporting and analysis.
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan and reduce operational disruptions.
- Provide technical support and training to operators and junior technicians on equipment usage, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with Coherent’s safety policies, industry regulations, and environmental standards during all maintenance and repair activities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, or technical support, preferably in laser, optics, or semiconductor industries.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other testing equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with safety protocols (e.g., OSHA, ISO standards) and experience working in a controlled environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) to collaborate with international teams.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime or on-call support, as needed.
