Eastfound Malaysia Sdn.Bhd is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Equipment Engineer to join our expanding team in Pekan Nanas, Johor. In this role, you will be the backbone of our production operations, ensuring that our machinery and manufacturing systems run at peak performance.
As an Equipment Engineer, you will lead efforts to optimize production workflows, troubleshoot technical malfunctions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement preventative maintenance strategies, reduce downtime, and enhance the overall efficiency of our metal fabrication processes. Responsibility
- Oversee and manage the installation, maintenance, and repair of all production machinery and metal manufacturing equipment.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures to minimize downtime and prevent recurrence.
- Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules to ensure machine longevity.
- Collaborate with the production team to improve process efficiency and identify bottlenecks in the manufacturing line.
- Supervise technical staff and contractors to ensure work is performed to safety and quality standards.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of critical components.
- Document all engineering procedures, maintenance logs, and technical specifications for regulatory compliance.
- Support new equipment commissioning and lead machinery upgrade projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an equipment or maintenance engineering role, preferably in a metal manufacturing or heavy industry environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC controls.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems under pressure.
- Familiarity with ISO quality standards and OSHA safety regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to equipment reliability and maintenance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage small technical teams.
- Proficiency in CAD software and MS Office Suite.
