As an Equipment Control Executive, you will play a critical role in managing our container inventory, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining seamless communication between our depots, terminals, and clients. You will be the point person responsible for the accurate tracking, allocation, and recovery of equipment, directly impacting our ability to meet delivery timelines and optimize logistics performance.

Responsibility
- Monitor and track container inventory levels across assigned depots and terminals to prevent shortages or surpluses.
- Coordinate closely with port authorities, hauliers, and depot operators to ensure the timely release and return of containers.
- Manage the day-to-day documentation process for container movements, including gate-in/gate-out logs and damage reports.
- Analyze equipment utilization reports and provide actionable insights to management for improved fleet efficiency.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and customers to resolve discrepancies regarding container availability and booking status.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and internal SITC operational procedures.
- Assist in the planning and forecasting of equipment demand based on vessel schedules and local trade volume.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or port operations (Fresh graduates with a strong interest in the shipping industry are encouraged to apply).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel for data management and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu (proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage for liaising with regional offices).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing logistics team.
- Familiarity with container tracking systems or terminal operating systems is a distinct advantage.
