Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for projects in tourism, infrastructure, and industrial sectors, ensuring compliance with Indonesian and international regulations.
- Lead field surveys, data collection, and stakeholder consultations to evaluate ecological, social, and economic impacts of proposed developments.
- Prepare detailed EIA reports, including mitigation strategies, environmental management plans, and sustainability recommendations for clients and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and government agencies to integrate environmental considerations into project design and planning.
- Monitor and audit ongoing projects to ensure adherence to environmental permits and best practices.
- Stay updated on evolving environmental laws, policies, and technologies to provide cutting-edge advisory services.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal training programs on EIA methodologies and tools.
- Represent the company at public hearings, client meetings, and industry conferences to advocate for sustainable development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Ecology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in conducting Environmental Impact Assessments, preferably in Southeast Asia.
- Familiarity with Indonesian EIA regulations (PP No. 22/2021 or similar) and international standards (e.g., IFC Performance Standards, ISO 14001).
- Proven ability to analyze complex environmental data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple assessments simultaneously.
- Certification in EIA (e.g., IEMA, NEBOSH Environmental, or local equivalents) is highly desirable.
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to balancing development with environmental conservation.
