Responsibility
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar).
- Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Support the implementation of security policies, procedures, and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Document security incidents, investigations, and remediation actions with clear, actionable reports.
- Participate in security awareness training and educate employees on best practices.
- Assist in risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies for identified threats.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or a related field (or equivalent certifications).
- Basic understanding of network security, encryption, and authentication protocols.
- Familiarity with security tools (e.g., Wireshark, Metasploit, Nessus) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP (or willingness to obtain).
