As part of this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of patient care, comfort, and dignity. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing ward operations, administering treatments, and providing emotional support to patients and their families during critical times.
Responsibility
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in ward and palliative settings, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and best practices.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed, while monitoring patient responses and adjusting care as needed.
- Offer compassionate end-of-life care, including pain management, emotional support, and dignity preservation for palliative patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques to promote recovery and well-being.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and hygiene standards to create a secure and sterile environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development to stay current with medical advancements and nursing practices.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution; valid nursing license (preferably with experience in ward or palliative care).
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital, ward, or palliative care setting; fresh graduates with strong foundational skills may be considered.
- Proven ability to administer medications, manage IV lines, and perform wound care with precision and care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with patients, families, and colleagues in a multicultural environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to assess patient needs and respond effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and basic computer proficiency for documentation and reporting.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach, with a commitment to ethical and empathetic care, especially in end-of-life scenarios.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Indonesian or other languages is a plus.
