Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders in clients of all ages.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs and goals.
- Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, psychologists, and educators, to ensure holistic care.
- Educate clients and their families on strategies to improve communication and swallowing functions at home.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, tracking progress and adjusting interventions as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
- Advocate for clients’ needs within the community and healthcare system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
- Valid professional license or certification as a Speech-Language Therapist (e.g., ASHA certification or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in speech therapy, preferably with diverse populations.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is mandatory; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Experience working in multicultural or international settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of assistive communication devices and technologies.
