Responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the engineering department to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of all hotel facilities.
- Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and systems.
- Lead, mentor, and train a team of engineering staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address potential issues, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, troubleshooting and resolving technical faults to minimize disruption to guests and operations.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring cost-effective and timely completion of projects and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventories, and expenditures, providing regular reports to management.
- Ensure adherence to all local regulations, environmental policies, and company standards related to engineering and facility management.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management or engineering, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and vendors.
- Familiarity with local safety regulations and environmental standards.
