Responsibility
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers to design, develop, and maintain a high-performance deployment platform.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define roadmaps, prioritize features, and align technical solutions with business goals.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in CI/CD, infrastructure as code (IaC), and observability.
- Optimize platform scalability, security, and cost-efficiency to support Grabâs growing engineering needs.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to minimize downtime.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in cloud computing, containerization (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker), and DevOps tooling.
- Document architectures, processes, and runbooks to ensure knowledge sharing and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and deployment tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins).
- Strong proficiency in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures.
- Proven track record of delivering scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex distributed systems.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with global teams.
