Responsibility
- Lead and manage the engineering team to ensure the smooth operation of all hotel facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Oversee renovation and construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and timely completion.
- Monitor energy consumption and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.
- Collaborate with other departments to address guest concerns and maintain high service standards.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, health, and safety standards across all engineering operations.
- Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement of engineering supplies and equipment.
- Train and mentor engineering staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel engineering or facility management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems, maintenance protocols, and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, projects, and teams effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices and energy management in hospitality settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in using engineering software and tools for maintenance management.
