Responsibility
- Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians to execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on rail systems and infrastructure.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of critical assets.
- Oversee the inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute maintenance schedules, ensuring alignment with operational demands.
- Monitor and analyze maintenance data to identify trends, root causes of failures, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Ensure adherence to local and international regulatory requirements, including safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to optimize maintenance operations and cost efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by introducing new technologies, methodologies, and best practices in rail maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in maintenance management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the rail, transportation, or heavy industry sectors.
- Proven expertise in rail systems maintenance, including rolling stock, signaling, tracks, and power systems.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance management systems (CMMS) and data-driven decision-making tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with ISO, OSHA, and local regulatory standards for rail safety and operations.
- Certifications in Six Sigma, Lean Management, or Reliability Engineering are highly desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure, solve complex problems, and adapt to evolving operational challenges.
