Responsibility
- Develop and optimize mold designs using CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, NX) to meet product specifications and manufacturing requirements.
- Collaborate with product development and production teams to ensure design feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
- Conduct detailed design reviews, simulations, and prototyping to validate mold performance and durability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during the manufacturing process to minimize downtime and defects.
- Implement design for manufacturability (DFM) principles to enhance efficiency and reduce production costs.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of mold designs, revisions, and technical specifications.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mold design and manufacturing.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mold design, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, NX) and simulation tools (e.g., Moldflow).
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and mold-making techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with DFM principles and lean manufacturing methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
