Responsibility
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, invoices, and packing lists to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Document all received goods in the inventory management system with precision, including quantities, conditions, and discrepancies.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to organize and store received items in designated areas, ensuring efficient space utilization.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the logistics supervisor and assist in resolving issues with suppliers or carriers.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or scanners (if certified) to facilitate the receiving process.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area in compliance with company and regulatory safety standards.
- Assist in cycle counting and inventory audits to ensure data accuracy and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement and distribution, to streamline receiving workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in warehouse operations, receiving, or inventory management, preferably in logistics or retail.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems, barcode scanners, and basic Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Physical ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 kg, as well as stand or walk for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and willingness to adhere to all company policies.
- Familiarity with operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is advantageous.
