Responsibility
- Develop and maintain embedded Linux applications and system software for Xilinx SoC platforms.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate and test software on custom FPGA-based designs.
- Optimize Linux kernel configurations and device drivers for performance and power efficiency.
- Debug and resolve software/hardware interface issues using tools like GDB, JTAG, and oscilloscopes.
- Write and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test reports.
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
- Assist in the porting of Linux distributions (e.g., Yocto, Buildroot) to new hardware platforms.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in embedded Linux and Xilinx technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Basic understanding of Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces.
- Familiarity with C/C++ programming (academic or personal projects are acceptable).
- Knowledge of embedded systems concepts (e.g., microcontrollers, SoCs, or FPGAs) is a plus.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
