Responsibility
- Design, develop, and optimize embedded firmware for contactless payment terminals and related hardware
- Implement and maintain secure communication protocols between payment devices and backend systems
- Conduct comprehensive testing (unit, integration, and system-level) to ensure firmware reliability and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and technical specifications
- Troubleshoot and debug complex hardware-software integration issues in real-world payment scenarios
- Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, EMV, and other relevant payment industry security standards
- Document technical designs, test cases, and implementation processes for knowledge sharing
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of professional experience in embedded firmware development
- Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded Linux environments
- Experience with payment systems, NFC/RFID technologies, or secure transaction processing
- Strong understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and low-level hardware interactions
- Familiarity with cryptographic protocols and secure coding practices for financial applications
- Experience with debugging tools (JTAG, logic analyzers) and version control systems (Git)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
