Responsibility
- Maintain and repair electrical and electronic systems on board the container vessel.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to navigation, communication, and automation systems.
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize vessel performance and reduce downtime.
- Document all maintenance activities and provide detailed reports to the Chief Engineer.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
- Provide technical training and support to junior crew members.
Qualifications
- Valid ETO Certificate of Competency (CoC) or equivalent maritime qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an ETO on container vessels or similar ships.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic, and automation systems in maritime environments.
- Familiarity with international maritime regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a multicultural team.
- Willingness to travel and work on a rotational basis.
