Responsibility
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, including panels, motors, transformers, and PLC-based control systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults in production machinery to minimize downtime.
- Install, test, and commission new electrical components and systems in compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of wiring, circuits, and connections to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to upgrade or modify electrical systems for improved efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and reports for all electrical work performed.
- Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Provide technical support to production staff and train operators on basic electrical safety and troubleshooting.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical Technician in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting and repairing electrical control panels, motors, and transformers.
- Familiarity with PLC systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and automated control systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Certification in electrical safety (e.g., NFPA 70E or local equivalents) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or in a team under tight deadlines.
