Join China State Construction Engineering Corporation as an Electrical Substation Engineer (O&M) in the dynamic region of Badung, Bali. This critical role focuses on the operation, maintenance, and optimization of high-voltage substation equipment, ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of power distribution systems.
As part of our global engineering team, you will work on 275kV substations, performing advanced inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance (PM/CM), and switching operations. Your expertise will directly contribute to the stability of Indonesia’s power infrastructure, supporting industrial and residential growth in Bali’s rapidly developing regions.

Responsibility
- Operate and maintain 275kV substation equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, and switchgear.
- Conduct routine and emergency inspections to identify faults, wear, or potential failures in electrical systems.
- Perform preventive (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) to ensure optimal performance and longevity of substation assets.
- Execute safe switching operations in compliance with industry standards and company protocols.
- Monitor and analyze power system performance, troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement system upgrades or expansions.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations (OSHA, local electrical codes) and environmental standards.
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance logs, and documentation for compliance and auditing purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; PE (Professional Engineer) license is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in substation operation, maintenance, or high-voltage systems.
- Proven expertise in 275kV or higher voltage substations, including hands-on work with protective relays, SCADA, and control systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety protocols, LOTO (Lockout-Tagout), and arc flash hazard mitigation.
- Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, and local Indonesian electrical standards (e.g., PLN regulations).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in high-stakes environments.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; additional Mandarin is advantageous.
- Willingness to work in Badung, Bali, with flexibility for on-call or shift-based schedules.
