Responsibility
- Develop and review electrical design drawings, schematics, and layouts for M&E EPC and EPCM projects.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, architects, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Perform load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and voltage drop calculations to ensure compliance with local and international standards.
- Prepare technical specifications, bills of materials (BOM), and cost estimates for electrical components and systems.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify the implementation of designs and resolve any technical issues.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure designs are innovative and compliant.
- Provide technical support during the procurement, installation, and commissioning phases of projects.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in electrical design and engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical design for M&E EPC or EPCM projects.
- Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or Revit MEP.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NEC, IEC, and local regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Professional certification (e.g., PE, Chartered Engineer) is highly desirable.
