Responsibility
- Oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, and power distribution networks within the power station.
- Lead a team of electrical engineers and technicians, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high productivity and technical competence.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of electrical equipment.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, regulatory standards (e.g., PLN, K3), and environmental compliance in all operational activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize energy efficiency, reduce operational costs, and integrate renewable energy solutions where applicable.
- Manage budget allocations for electrical maintenance, repairs, and capital expenditures, ensuring cost-effective and timely project execution.
- Conduct root cause analysis for electrical failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Prepare technical reports, performance metrics, and recommendations for senior management to support data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., P.Eng, CMRP) is a plus.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within power generation, utilities, or heavy industrial settings.
- In-depth knowledge of high-voltage systems, power distribution, SCADA, and protective relaying.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, delegate tasks, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with Indonesian electrical regulations (e.g., PU, PLN standards) and international codes (IEC, IEEE).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in fault diagnosis and system optimization.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar electrical design software is highly desirable.
