Responsibility
- Lead the development, optimization, and qualification of advanced etch processes for semiconductor devices, including logic, memory, and analog technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance) to resolve complex process issues and improve yield.
- Design and execute DOE (Design of Experiments) to evaluate process parameters, materials, and equipment performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process stability, cost efficiency, and scalability.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and technical reports for compliance and knowledge sharing.
- Partner with equipment vendors to evaluate and integrate new tools/technologies for etch process enhancements.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) by defining etch process requirements and validating performance.
Qualifications
- Masterâs or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 10+ years of semiconductor process engineering experience.
- Deep expertise in plasma etch processes (RIE, DRIE, ALE) for FEOL/BEOL applications in advanced nodes (â¤7nm preferred).
- Proven track record in process development, troubleshooting, and yield enhancement in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in statistical analysis (JMP, Python, or R) and DOE methodologies.
- Experience with metrology tools (CD-SEM, OCD, ellipsometry) and defect inspection systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia (work permit support provided).
