Join PERSOL in an exciting opportunity as an Electrical Engineer specializing in Railway Maintenance in the vibrant region of Bali, Indonesia. Our client, a leading name in the transportation and infrastructure sector, is seeking a skilled professional to ensure the seamless operation and maintenance of electrical systems in rail networks.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing electrical systems that power modern railway operations. Based in Badung, you’ll work in a dynamic environment that combines technical expertise with the unique challenges of railway infrastructure in a tropical setting.
This position offers a competitive salary range of $3,600 – $4,800 per month, along with the chance to contribute to critical projects that enhance public transportation efficiency and safety in one of Southeast Asia’s most rapidly developing regions.
Responsibility
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including traction power, signaling, and control systems for railway operations.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum reliability of railway infrastructure.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and calibration of electrical components to comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute system upgrades, modifications, and emergency repairs.
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including maintenance logs, schematics, and compliance reports.
- Ensure adherence to local and international electrical safety standards, including ISO and railway-specific protocols.
- Provide technical support and training to junior engineers and maintenance staff.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and sustainability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in railway, transportation, or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of AC/DC systems, PLCs, SCADA, and electrical control panels.
- Familiarity with railway signaling, traction power systems, and overhead line equipment (OLE).
- Certification in electrical safety (e.g., NFPA 70E, OSHA) is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and software for system monitoring.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage.
