Responsibility
- Conduct quality control inspections for LV/MV electrical installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve electrical designs, drawings, and technical documents to verify accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
- Perform on-site testing and commissioning of electrical systems, including insulation resistance, earth resistance, and functional performance tests.
- Identify and resolve electrical quality issues, non-conformities, and defects in collaboration with project teams and contractors.
- Prepare detailed quality control reports, including inspection findings, test results, and corrective action recommendations.
- Ensure all electrical work is performed in accordance with safety protocols and best practices to minimize risks and hazards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to site engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain high-quality standards.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to electrical engineering and quality control.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical quality control for large-scale construction, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in LV/MV electrical systems, including design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of international electrical standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NEC) and local regulations.
- Experience with electrical testing equipment (e.g., megohmmeters, earth testers, multimeters) and quality control tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to identify and resolve quality issues effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Certifications in quality control (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma) or electrical safety (e.g., OSHA) are a plus.
