Responsibility
- Design and develop overhead and underground electrical distribution systems in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications using CAD software.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather data for distribution system design and optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, contractors, and clients, to ensure project success.
- Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and short-circuit studies to ensure system reliability.
- Review and approve technical documentation, including bills of materials, construction plans, and as-built drawings.
- Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases of distribution projects.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical distribution design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical distribution design, preferably in overhead and underground systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and other engineering design tools.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certification (e.g., PE, CEng) is a plus.
