As a Buyer, you will be responsible for planning and executing merchandising strategies that align with market trends and business objectives. Your expertise will ensure that our stores are stocked with high-quality dry food and non-food products that meet customer demands. Responsibility
- Develop and implement merchandising strategies for dry food and non-food categories to maximize sales and profitability.
- Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective product sourcing.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive pricing strategies.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to secure the best deals for the company.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with logistics teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Analyze sales data and performance metrics to make data-driven purchasing decisions.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and company policies for all procured products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to support business growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail buying, procurement, or merchandising.
- Proven track record in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems for inventory and procurement management.
- Knowledge of retail industry standards and best practices.
