In this role, you will be responsible for conducting field measurements, data collection, and troubleshooting of mobile network performance. You will work alongside a dedicated team of engineers to analyze signal quality, identify coverage gaps, and implement optimization strategies that enhance user experience. Responsibility
- Perform drive test data collection using industry-standard tools (e.g., TEMS, NEMO, or XCAL).
- Conduct static and dynamic testing for 4G/LTE and 5G network technologies.
- Analyze collected log files to identify call drops, handover failures, and throughput issues.
- Generate comprehensive drive test reports and post-processing summaries for RF optimization teams.
- Monitor site performance and troubleshoot technical anomalies identified during field activities.
- Collaborate with field and office-based engineers to optimize network coverage and capacity.
- Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and maintained to meet operational standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering (ECE) or a related technical field.
- Proven experience as a Drive Test Engineer or in an RF field-related role.
- Strong understanding of mobile network architecture (GSM, UMTS, LTE, 5G NR).
- Proficiency in using drive test software and post-processing tools (ACTIX, TEMS Discovery, or Windcatcher).
- Knowledge of RF propagation principles and network optimization techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a field environment and travel across Central Luzon as required.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to engage in field-based operations.
