Responsibility
- Conduct drive tests using specialized equipment to evaluate wireless network performance, including signal strength, call quality, and data throughput.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret RF (Radio Frequency) data to identify coverage gaps, interference, or capacity issues.
- Generate detailed performance reports with actionable insights for network optimization teams.
- Collaborate with engineering and field teams to implement corrective measures and validate improvements.
- Monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) such as dropped call rates, latency, and handover success rates.
- Troubleshoot network anomalies and provide root-cause analysis for recurring issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in wireless communications (e.g., 4G/5G, VoLTE).
- Ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements for network testing and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in drive testing, RF optimization, or network performance analysis.
- Proficiency in drive test tools (e.g., TEMS, XCAL, Nemo, or similar).
- Strong understanding of wireless technologies (GSM, UMTS, LTE, 5G) and network protocols.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in the field and adapt to varying environmental conditions.
- Familiarity with GIS mapping tools (e.g., Google Earth, QGIS) for data visualization.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal) for reporting and team collaboration.
