Responsibility
- Conduct thorough testing and analysis of construction materials (e.g., concrete, steel, asphalt) to ensure compliance with DPWH and international standards.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures for material selection, handling, and usage in construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to provide technical recommendations on material suitability and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare detailed reports on material performance, test results, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and inspect construction sites to verify adherence to material specifications and safety protocols.
- Research and recommend innovative, sustainable materials to enhance project efficiency and environmental impact.
- Train and supervise on-site personnel on proper material handling, storage, and application techniques.
- Maintain accurate documentation of material certifications, test logs, and inventory for auditing purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field. DPWH accreditation is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in materials testing, quality control, or construction engineering, preferably in infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, and DPWH standards for construction materials.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment (e.g., compression machines, sieve analyzers) and software for material analysis.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity while meeting project deadlines.
- Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and green building materials is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to project sites in Bali as required.
