Join Gabon Wood Industries (GWI) as a Downstream Furniture Factory Manager & Supervisor and lead our operations in Gabon, West Africa. Responsibility
- Oversee daily operations of the downstream furniture production line, ensuring efficiency and quality standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of supervisors and factory workers to meet production targets.
- Implement process improvements to optimize workflow, reduce costs, and minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental policies, and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and quality control teams to maintain smooth operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and production schedules to meet customer demand.
- Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in furniture manufacturing or wood processing.
- Proven leadership experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of French is a plus.
- Willingness to relocate to Gabon, West Africa.
