Responsibility
- Develop and execute merchandising strategies to maximize sales and profitability for assigned product lines.
- Collaborate with suppliers, buyers, and internal teams to ensure product availability and optimal inventory levels.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales, margins, and inventory turnover.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and promotional support.
- Work closely with marketing and sales teams to plan and execute promotional campaigns and product launches.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all merchandising activities.
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members to foster a high-performance culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in merchandising, retail management, or a similar role.
- Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving profitability in a retail or consumer products environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using merchandising software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience in the bicycle or sports retail industry is a plus.
