Responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the dishwashing and stewarding team to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dishwashing areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels at all times.
- Train and mentor new team members on proper dishwashing techniques, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections of dishwashing areas and equipment to identify and address any maintenance or cleanliness issues.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and management teams to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling in accordance with environmental and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including staff attendance, equipment maintenance, and supply usage.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a dishwashing or stewarding role within the hospitality industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent knowledge of kitchen sanitation practices, health and safety regulations, and food handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and feedback to team members.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects as required.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
