Responsibility
- Prepare and verify the Statement of Disbursement (SOD) for each vessel, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and maritime regulations.
- Coordinate with port agents, vessel captains, and internal finance teams to gather necessary documentation and validate disbursement details.
- Monitor and track disbursement expenses, ensuring all costs are accounted for and properly allocated to the correct vessels or projects.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including customs, port authorities, and vendors, to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments.
- Maintain detailed records of all disbursement transactions, including invoices, receipts, and supporting documents, for auditing and reporting purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to vessel disbursements, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Ensure all disbursement activities adhere to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support the finance team in month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliation of disbursement accounts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in disbursement, financial accounting, or a similar role within the shipping, logistics, or maritime industry.
- Strong understanding of Statement of Disbursement (SOD) processes and maritime financial operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
