As a Disability Affairs Officer I, you will play a crucial role in implementing programs that promote the welfare, rehabilitation, and integration of persons with disabilities into mainstream society. You will act as a focal point for advocacy, policy implementation, and grassroots support, ensuring that all government initiatives are accessible and inclusive.

Responsibility
- Plan, coordinate, and implement programs and services for persons with disabilities (PWDs) at the municipal level.
- Conduct regular community outreach and consultations to identify the specific needs of the PWD community.
- Facilitate the issuance of PWD ID cards and provide assistance in accessing government social welfare benefits.
- Liaise with various government agencies, NGOs, and stakeholders to advocate for inclusive policies and accessible infrastructure.
- Maintain an accurate and confidential database of PWDs within the jurisdiction for better service delivery.
- Develop and conduct awareness campaigns to promote the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation required by the Civil Service Commission and local government units.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Public Administration, Psychology, or a related social science field.
- Relevant experience in community organization, social welfare programs, or public service is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a heart for public service and empathy for the sector.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic data management software.
- Must possess a valid Civil Service Eligibility (Professional) or equivalent PRC license.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
