Responsibility
- Develop and implement global tax strategies to minimize liabilities and maximize financial efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with international, federal, and local tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Lead tax planning initiatives, including structuring transactions, mergers, and acquisitions to optimize tax outcomes.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, and executive teams to align tax strategies with business goals.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
- Identify and mitigate tax risks while capitalizing on opportunities for tax savings.
- Provide strategic guidance on tax implications of business decisions and expansions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CTA, or equivalent certification required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in tax, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of international tax laws, treaties, and compliance standards.
- Proven experience in tax planning, structuring, and controversy management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in a multinational corporation or global energy sector is a plus.
- Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
