Responsibility
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive stewardship strategy that aligns with global best practices and client expectations.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, corporations, and key stakeholders to drive alignment on governance and ESG priorities.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
- Operational Oversight: Ensure seamless day-to-day operations, including resource allocation, budget management, and performance tracking.
- Policy Development: Spearhead the creation and refinement of stewardship policies, frameworks, and voting guidelines in collaboration with global teams.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging ESG risks to proactively adapt strategies and mitigate potential impacts.
- Reporting & Transparency: Oversee the preparation of high-quality stewardship reports, disclosures, and communications for clients and regulatory bodies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (Research, Legal, Compliance) to ensure integrated and consistent stewardship practices across the organization.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in financial services, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focused on stewardship, corporate governance, or ESG.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of global capital markets, institutional investing, and ESG frameworks (e.g., PRI, GRI, SASB).
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, drive strategic initiatives, and influence senior stakeholders.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in crafting compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
- Regulatory Acumen: Familiarity with international governance standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical investment principles.
