Responsibility
- Develop and deliver compliant, cost-effective mechanical and electrical (M&E) designs in accordance with project requirements and statutory regulations.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including architects, project managers, and contractors, to ensure seamless integration of engineering designs.
- Coordinate with external consultants, vendors, and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals and certifications.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations to inform design decisions and project planning.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM).
- Monitor project progress, identify potential design challenges, and propose innovative solutions to mitigate risks.
- Ensure all designs adhere to sustainability principles, energy efficiency standards, and local building codes.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase, including site visits and troubleshooting as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in M&E design, preferably within the construction or consulting industry.
- Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM tools.
- Strong knowledge of local and international building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certification (e.g., PE, CEng) or membership in a recognized engineering body is advantageous.
